It’s 2016 and Jude has lost their way, but found a grudge – with the Duke of Edinburgh. Now they’re on a quest to settle the score and finally get hands on that Silver Award!
DUKED: A DofE Story is the debut collaboration from Jo Fisher and Liam Gifford.
Jo Fisher is a writer, editor, poet and artist living in Southampton. A regular at open mics and events in Hampshire, she performed at the Royal Albert Hall at the 2019 Hammer & Tongue National Slam Final, and has been featured on BBC Radio Solent and Radio 4’s Front Row. Her work has even been transformed into a neon art installation in her favourite local arts space. She loves getting stuck into different word-based projects and collaborations — from writing poems for local pubs, to curating content for The Big Issue.
Liam Gifford is a working class theatre-maker, producer and performer raised in North Devon and trained at Dartington College of Arts. His work has been performed in the UK & Europe, in traditional and non-traditional spaces including at Nuffield Southampton Theatres, Commonwealth Games 2022, Birmingham Festival, Chichester Festival Theatres, BE Festival and NEU/NOW Festival. In 2024 he debuted DEATH* by PowerPoint at Fringe TheatreFest before taking it to venues and festivals including Totnes Fringe, Department, The Stage Door and Bedford Fringe.
