Social and political comment, comedy and history.
"Amazing performer. Such a unique skill in terms of creativity and delivery. Engaging with the audience makes it exciting and alive.” Barnstaple Theatre Festival 2018
Award-winning poet and storyteller, The Bard of Windmill Hill, serves up an ever-evolving treatise for our troubled times encompassing tragedy, history and comedy; satire, philosophy and social comment; drama, theatricality and hilarity. It’s a tour de force of epic dimensions. He received a Best Show Award from Shaftesbury Fringe Festival in 2018. The judges commented the show was “well-constructed, original and funny… sharp and often unexpected” and spoke of “a clever and original voice”.
A sell out show at the Heron Theatre in Milnthorpe, Cumbria provoked the artistic director to say: "My thanks, on behalf of the theatre and the audience... the combination of humour, challenge and pathos often linked to current events was appreciated."
“He turns the absurd, bewildering and frequently frustrating aspects of modern life into laughter. Witty, ironic and waspish, this is social comment and cerebral comedy at its best!" Cheltenham Poetry Festival.
Warnings: this show invites audience participation and is unsuitable for those with an aversion to alliteration.
