Two swimmers. 1 epic (300km) final. No water. On your marks, set, GO!
Forget the Olympics, welcome to THE CRAWL: the most epic swim race of the century. Facing off in the competition this year: Mytha, a decorated swimmer from the icy north, and underdog Steve, representing the British town of Dead-endton with his super strong right arm. Mytha trains in ice water and moves glaciers in his spare time. Steve is a beast at bicep curls and never says no to a fan autograph. And don’t discount French favourite Debussy, who may or may not be sitting in the audience right now…
In this high-energy physical comedy, two performers bring to life top-level athletes, commentators, coaches, and even a glacier in a splashy display of virtuosic physicality.
Featuring cinematic storytelling, audience interaction, and original musical underscoring, The Crawl dives into a world of absurd competition, exploring the perpetual struggle to get ahead.
Described as "a tantalising, good-time show which truly gets the heart racing” (Theatre Weekly) with "the most affably handled audience participation I've seen this fringe" (The Guardian), The Crawl is a riotous, bubbly show with a heartwarming undercurrent.
