SH*T SHOW!
Kathryn Marper

Jessica needs help, this much is clear. But is therapy as life changing as everyone makes out? Will Jessica ever be cured? Or is her life always going to be a bit of a sh*t show?

SH*T SHOW! follows Jessica’s journey through therapy as she recovers from a sexual assault. She struggles to come to terms with what's happened. She hates herself for allowing herself to be assaulted, for needing therapy and for pushing everyone away. But most of all, she hates her therapist.

As Jessica attends therapy sessions and begins to open up. She shares her repulsion of her own body, her self-loathing for staying silent when she sees sexual harassment around her, and her deepest darkest fear - what if she becomes an abuser?

SH*T SHOW! aims to tackle difficult topics such as sexual assault, body image, abortion, revenge and the cycle of abuse with sensitivity and humour. It hopes to promote discussion and debate around these topics within audiences.

SH*T SHOW! debuted at the Edinburgh PBH Free Fringe 2024. Audiences said:

"Absolutely owned the stage and comedic timing - second to none"

"Emotional Rollercoaster"

"Kathryn writes and delivers with wit, comic timing, energy and sensitivity - I was engaged throughout"
