STORY WALK
Cathy Towers

How do improvisers manage to make up scenes on the spot? Come along and discover some easy ways to start, via a Story Walk at the Fringe Festival. Join in a gentle walk from the Museum and along the riverside with the theatre in your step! On the way the group stops and plays with a pot-pourri of tale-telling games to create their own stories inspired by our surroundings and senses.

You too can discover how your imagination can help create story telling elements with ease and fun. Simple guidance is given in aspects such as painting a scene, allowing a character to emerge and working together by each contributing small ideas, or offers. You will be surprised with the power of your own invention.

This event is lead by Exmouth based Improviser and Confident Public Speaking coach Cathy Towers, who will also be performing with Odd Socks with a mix of improvised entertainment, at the festival on Friday and Saturday. Feel shy? Cathy has a way with enabling everyone to have a go – helping people stretch beyond their comfort zone while having fun.

“I feel like I have been uncorked!”

“Amusing and an inspiration”

“It's refreshing and fun.“

This performance is intended for adults but you people accompanied by an adult are welcome.
