Formidable Force was formed in a garden one evening, a spin-off of Project: Dance! Devon. We are small acoustic band, made of guitar, ukulele and three voices focusing on storytelling through song.

We believe Barnstaple Fringe TheatreFest is a great asset for North Devon and we are proud to be entering again this year. 2025 marks 80 years since the end of World War Two.

We all have family who either fought in the war or who kept the country running in the men's absence. We want to honour their memory and recognise the sacrifices of so many people. The songs from this era were inspiring and lifted the mood of the nation.

Discover, through spoken word, some stories of local and adopted local war heroes. 80 years ago this year the war came to an end, join us to celebrate and keep their memory alive, with the opportunity to join in.
