'Alma and The Holly-Blue Butterfly' is an interactive, storytelling, workshop for children, ages 5-10.
'Alma sleeps on the breeze, and the breeze takes Alma where she needs to be...'
In this tender tale, Alma, a tiny, 'nature being', weaves her magic to save a butterfly in distress. A delightful surprise unfolds and her world is transformed.
My hope is that this story nurtures the imagination, encourages play, and opens young hearts to love nature that little bit more.
We'll share the beauty of the Holly-Blue Butterfly, immerse ourselves in Alma's, magical world, and explore the imagination, using arts activities, inspired by the story.
Having worked in the arts for 30 years, with a background in film making, community arts and as a self-employed artist, it's a joy to bring together my love of nature, art and storytelling - like a magical, draw-string, purse I never know what I'll find next!
Over the past couple of years, I've shared my stories, 'The Green Badger', 'The Secrets of the Beech Tree', and 'The King Who Couldn't Sing' at local libraries, forest schools, and Book Festivals.
