How I Almost Died
Matthew David Jones

In “How I Almost Died,” you are invited to the much anticipated interview between now-famous serial killer survivor Otis Mallard and award-winning journalist Sandy Baldrige. In what is expected to be an enlightening event, you will hear, first-hand, how a school teacher from Upper-Loxby became the thirteenth target of a notorious and deadly serial murderer, the Doorbell Killer, and how such a person not only survived but persevered in the wake of such a life-changing attack. But with the killer seemingly still at large, is Otis truly safe and out of the dark? With the release of his tell-all book, the target on his back is likely bigger than ever… and who knows who is watching.

I am excited to bring Otis Mallard and his remarkable story to life. His rise to fame as a result of his own tragedy is one of questionable means, which - I hope - will start a conversation about our own reactions to crime and tragedies, specifically how we consume such stories in modern media.

I look forward to welcoming you all to Otis’s big interview. It will be an event like no other - one of shock, laughs, hidden truths and dangers. You won’t want to miss it.
