Above Bounds are a children’s theatre company based in Plymouth, Devon, making exciting shows for children under 11 and their families.

We make theatre for young people, with young people, telling big stories, and small stories, in fun, playful and visually innovative ways. We believe theatre is for everyone, and make events which are affordable, accessible and easy for our audiences to get to. That’s just why we love Fringe TheatreFest, an annual event where you can see incredible theatre right on your doorstep.

Above Bounds have been regular returners to the fringe since 2016, providing exiting work for families. We can’t wait to come back to Barnstaple for a second year with the mischievous Silly Squirrel. After our fringe TheatreFest in 2022, Silly Squirrel won the best of children & Families award at FUSE international, so we can’t wait to bring this show back to unexpected outdoor locations in the town.
