Aesop's fables is a return to the Fringe for Pilton Outdoor Theatre following the success of Mumms the word - a history of Pilton and Barnstaple in 2024. This year we bring an adaptation of the tales written by Aesop in ancient Greece which still have importance today.

The production will have lots of fables told in a physical outdoor theatre style from a community Theatre company based in Barnstaple and Pilton. We will show you cautionary life lessons featuring animals, peasants and Gods. Yes we will include the favourites' the boy who cried wolf 'and' the tortoise and the hare', but we have over 200 other tales to pick from.

Join us on our journey back to ancient times and let Aesop give you some good advice. Something we could all do to listen to in 2025! Pilton Outdoor Theatre welcomes you back to the magnificent setting of Castle Green moat- see you all there!
