Makoto Inoue Ind

A phenomenal performance by Makoto Inoue had the audience spellbound from the first twitch of his finger. This talented performer has transformed Shakespeare’s ‘Richard’ into a new, magical, non-verbal production. Not a word is spoken, yet the sound effects transfix everyone. The chilling music and Makoto’s immense concentration make his transition between characters very effective, whilst always ensuring fluidity in his movements. Including precisely timed sword fight sequences, and a splash of Shakespearian humour, this is one performance that everyone wants to see twice!
Fringe Secrets

Amazing and very effective use of sound and costume flexibility in this non-verbal piece to create characters. And excellent characterisation. Personally I felt I needed to know the story of Shakespeare's Richard better to fully grasp the narrative. But it's well worth reading a synopsis and seeing this.
