Bursary Boy

Provocation Theatre Company

Peter is on the eve of his ordination as a Catholic priest. Before he finally commits himself to the Church, however, he has to visit a ghost from the past who has the power to determine his future forever.

Based on a true story, Bursary Boy by award winning writer Dougie Blaxland explores the extraordinary code of silence and secrecy within the Catholic Church that has enabled it to exercise such a sinister hold over its following.

The play, which was developed through the Script Factory at The Theatre Royal Bath, opens in early June at The Rondo Theatre Bath and plays Fringe TheatreFest before transferring to The Bike Shed Theatre Exeter on 25th June.
