PYT present, ‘The Hound of the Baskervilles’ with an original version of the climactic scenes unravelling the mystery of the murder. The adaptation is well suited to a theatrical performance and the genre of a murder mystery.
‘THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES is a chilling tale presenting Sherlock Holmes with one of his most challenging cases. The young Sir Henry Baskerville, the new master of the Baskerville estate, is haunted by a phantom beast ‘with blazing eyes and dripping jaws’ which roams the mist-enshrouded moors around isolated Baskerville Hall on Dartmoor. Is this fiendish spectre the manifestation of the family curse? Or is Sir Henry the victim of a scheming murderer?
Gender blind casting performed by a group of talented young performers. Witness the climax of the play performed in the atmospheric setting outside St Anne’s old chapel in Barnstaple.
