Does It Hurt When I press Here?
Unexplored Places Theatre Co

Unexplored Theatre Co present an original spoken-word poetry piece, devised from a local writer's work. Originally from North Devon, actor Nayomie James trained and worked in London for ten years, before returning with her family to continue her career locally.

This will be Unexplored Theatre's Co's first devised piece of story-telling: a one-woman show celebrating the female voice and the endless dimensions of a single character. Passionate about open-air theatre, Nayomie has worked with a diverse range of theatre companies, both locally and in London, who celebrate site-specific pieces, Shakespeare, verbatim-theatre, absurdism, comedy and dance. As a movement artist, writer and director, Nayomie brings all of her wealth of experience to Does it Hurt When I Press Here?

Dr. Lara Rousseau welcomes you into her GP surgery to explore her musings on university life, her patients, motherhood, sensuality and death. Navigating the different 'hats' we wear at work, at home, as a parent, a friend, a lover, Rousseau brings an artistry to her poems that speaks of someone who has been writing for years. No subject is out of bounds, no emotions are off-limits, Rousseau is a maestro, conducting with her pen.
