The Fairy who wanted to Fly
Puppet Roadshow

Mary was too clumsy to fly. The other fairies were dainty and graceful, but Mary was better at stamping her feet to charm the worms. She loved to dig in the soil and feed the songbirds. When a mysterious stranger promised her wings of her own if she collected feathers from the garden birds, she found herself in trouble with mother earth. Mary must find the wisdom to guide herself into the stars.

This is the first showing from a new series of Stories for Forever. Exploring how children can learn to solve their own dilemmas.

A gentle story with marionettes, music and hand mouth puppets aimed a younger audiences or anyone who believes in magic.

Puppet Roadshow, based in Torridge, introduces a work in progress. There will be an opportunity to meet the puppets after each show, and children will receive a gift from the garden.

Previous shows at the Fringe include Punch and Judy at the Seaside, Jungle Story and Rowlf in The Hunting of the Hare.
