A Chip in the Sugar
Poorhouse Productions

A Chip in the Sugar is a bittersweet monologue given by Graham who is happily living with his mother until an old flame of hers appears on the scene. It’s a poignant study of love, co-dependency and hidden secrets.

I was last here at the Festival two years ago performing both Chip in the Sugar and Fire in the Belly, my one man show about the life and times of iconic American folksinger Woody Guthrie, which I’m also performing this year in Room At The Top

Over the past few years I was lucky enough to be involved in the BBC’s sitcom series Count Arthur Strong, Steve Delaney’s outrageous creation, co written and directed by Graham Linehan, creator of “Father Ted”. I played series regular EGGY a lovable conspiracy theorist.

This will be my third visit to the festival although I am no stranger to Barnstaple having worked on many productions with Bill and Gill in the great days of “Orchard Theatre”. One of the many highlights was playing Pa Ubu in “Ubu Roi”, which was an absolute riot!
