Resolution and Independence
Back ze Vore

"All things that love the sun are out of doors;
The sky rejoices in the morning's birth;
The grass is bright with rain-drops;—on the moors
The hare is running races in her mirth;
And with her feet she from the plashy earth
Raises a mist, that, glittering in the sun,
Runs with her all the way, wherever she doth run."

Back ze Vore return to TheatreFest for the third year running for one performance only; bringing to life English romantic poet William Wordsworth’s Resolution and Independence.

Through spoken word and puppetry accompanied by a curated soundscape, this telling describes an encounter with a leech-gatherer in the heart of the British countryside.

Back ze Vore is made up of skilled actor Ben Stretton and arts marketing professional Phoebe Mallows who formed a creative partnership in early 2021.

Their company debuted its first production , His Heart Belonged to the Sea, at Barnstaple's Fringe TheatreFest ’21, returning in 2022 with Poor Old Horse. The Hunting of The Hare hit the streets of Barnstaple in June '23 in the form of a wonderful collaboration of local performers for TheatreFest and what blimmin' marvellous fun it was!
